Theatre and Spirituality existed together in most ancient civilisations. For instance, ancient Greek theatre was performed during religious celebrations. Drama was never just entertainment. It was a communal ritual designed to observe human passion, trials, and limitations. Participants would either be on stage performing or actively watching and encouraging the unfolding of the myth. The show would then be followed by rituals and mystic practices to integrate participants back to the present. TanDra follows this exact logic.
TanDra explores the importance of observing yourself in a play. You reflect on human trials, passions and limitations, and then you go inwards. You dive deep into the inner self through meditative Tantric practices and rituals to cleanse, develop and get to know yourself more.
It is the play between the inside and outside.
First, we explore your wilderness (Αγριότητα-agriotita). This is exposing yourself to the unknown to fight, taste and get lost. You experience an odyssey of the self, meet demons and protectors, tame wild beasts, cry and laugh. You feel with your whole body and existence.
Then you go back to your body, your temple (Ναός-naos). You reflect and safely meditate on your life experience. You stretch your mental muscles to experience new universal depths and discover more about yourself and others.
This is an invitation to connect with your inner child and intuition. To release and explore patterns and mental blockages. To open your ears and eyes to the present, connect with others and develop creative skills.
